Meet Jessie – Senior Coach
Hi I’m Jessie
My journey began at Mini Swimming as a parent. My daughter Ella (& later Amelia) enrolled at Lexden for their baby swimming classes back in 2013 with Steve and Sam. Incredibly proud that they both now swim competitively, I cannot however take any credit, after all who listens to their own mum!
A year or two later I was diagnosed with dyslexia and was on the look out for a new challenge in an industry where I could use my strengths. I noticed an advert looking for a trainee swim teacher with Mini Swimming, so I gave it a go…… I had no idea about the journey that I was about to embark on.
After building an abundance of experience, confidence & knowledge with Mini Swimming, an opportunity came my way allowing me to work school hours whilst still teaching, perfect for spending school holidays with my family. It lead to me heading up a 60+ teaching team, allowing me to develop my mentoring and coaching skills alongside enhancing my swim teaching with school swimming.
I also took the opportunity to take my teaching to the next level and studied to become an aquatics Tutor through the STA meaning I would now be tutoring, assessing and mentoring new swimming teachers in multiple disciplines. This very quickly was followed by being awarded tutor status with the RLSS and I have blessed to help so many others start and develop their own journey.
So here I am, back to where it all started but this time as a Senior Coach helping guide and support the teachers at CCHS so they may benefit from all my knowledge & experience.
